There is a lot to do at this extremely underrated State Park. The DNR does a wonderful job of keeping this nice park well kept. If you have a negative opinion from the past it would be a wise choice to go down there on a nice day to check out the improvements they have made all over the area.
The trail is a rail-to-trail project located on the old Wabash train line from Council Bluffs, Iowa to Blanchard, Iowa for a total of 63 miles traversing through the rolling hills of Iowa. The trail consists of crushed limestone and concrete. There is a $1 a day user fee.
