About This Activity
18-Week Classes, Monday evenings
Begins on Monday, January 18th at 6:00pm
Many would only dream that 13.1 miles was possible, but with God nothing is impossible. If your goal is to cross the finish line of your first 13.1 mile race, this Red Sea Fitness Half Marathon training is for you. You must be currently completing a long run of 6 miles to begin. This training will prepare you for the Joplin Memorial Half Marathon in May of 2016.
For experienced half marathoners.
Did you know that only 1/10 of 1% of the population has completed a marathon? Though with the right training and dedication, mostly anyone is capable of it. Through careful and flexible training schedules, we are able to prepare you for the experience of a lifetime. With extensive experience in marathoning, ultra marathoning, and ultra marathon trail racing, we have the background and knowledge to help you complete your first marathon and beyond. This training will prepare you for the Joplin Memorial Marathon in May of 2016.
For experienced marathoners.
NOTE: There is a 100 participant cap on the 13.1 and 26.2 classes combined.
Instructors: Jenna Mutz and Nathan Sicher
All 13.1 and 26.2 courses are taught and led by Jenna Mutz, overall female champion of the Bass Pro Marathon, Tulsa Marathon, Flint Hills 40 Miler, and a multitude of regional events. Also leading is Nathan Sicher, whom is an accomplished marathon and ultra marathon champion, including victories at the FlatRock 50K, Bass Pro Dogwood Canyon 50K, and numerous other regional events.
NOTE: Red Sea Fitness also offers 12-week walking, 5K, and 10K classes here.

Red Sea Fitness - Joplin
The Red Sea Fitness Team is much more than teaching physical wellness. Our approach consists of multiple Biblical components that emphasize total well-being; financial, mental, emotional, physical, and mostly spiritual. Since our small and slightly shortsighted beginning in 2013, nearly 500 family team members have completed their first 5K run, some even competing in 10K, half marathon, and marathon events.
