About This Activity

12-Week Classes, Monday evenings
Begins on Monday, January 4th at 6:00pm

Walking

Whether you walk a mile or run a mile, you have gone a mile. The Red Sea Fitness walking courses teach proper foot strike, nutrition, stretching, and workout plan. While some will move into running classes from this course, many will remain walking and enjoying its lower impact benefits.

Beginning 5K

A 5K race is on many bucket lists, but few have a plan or the support to carry it out without injury and discouragement. The Red Sea Fitness Beginning 5K course is a reasonable, flexible, and gradual plan to cross the finish line of your first 5K. With over 400 Red Sea Fitness Team members completing their first 5K this year, you can be sure we can help you get there.

Intermediate 5K

Most participants of this course have completed a 5K or have simply transitioned from another endurance sport. While the satisfaction of completing a 5K is enough for some, many will decide to continue on this wellness journey and desire to move quicker in the next race. The Red Sea Fitness Intermediate 5K training course begins to introduce speed work and tempo running to the workout plan. A personal best is surely in the works.

Advanced 5K

This course is high intensity with 4 days per week of very specialized and individualized training. The Red Sea Fitness Advanced 5K training typically attracts an avid 5K enthusiast whom is seeking to improve each and every race. If your goal is to work hard and you have a good base of 5K races under your belt, this is right for you.

Strength Training

Red Sea Strength is led by KC Henekke. This course teaches the importance of range of motion, flexibility, proper mechanics in weight training, and reducing the risk of runner injury by strengthening key muscles.

Red Sea Fitness - Independence, KS

The Red Sea Fitness Team is much more than teaching physical wellness. Our approach consists of multiple Biblical components that emphasize total well-being; financial, mental, emotional, physical, and mostly spiritual. Since our small and slightly shortsighted beginning in 2013, nearly 500 family team members have completed their first 5K run, some even competing in 10K, half marathon, and marathon events.
