About This Activity


This 1-day event (more likely 2 to 3-hours), now in it's 2nd year well on its way to becoming the annual, end-of the-year, must-ride cycling event for Joplin. For 2018, 50-70 riders who will assume the challenge. The event will feature the 5-premier hill climbs in SW Joplin (McClelland, Castle, Grand Falls, Beef Branch and Douglas Fir), and like 2017, attracted the serious cyclist. Novice are welcome. The complete route is only 30-miles but features 2, category 5 climbs, and offers a total gain over 1,400 feet. MUST be 18 or older to ride the event.

The event is a fundraiser for the programs of Compass Quest Veteran Services.

Riders will carry a special bike bib which bearing the name of a local loved-one who is deployed in defense of our great nation as a ride of honor... in taking the hills.

The loop ride will begin/finish in McClelland Park at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 27th. This is not a race, but an endurance test of you cycling skill. Are you up for it?
