About This Activity

First Christian Church in Carthage, MO is excited to present the Rallye66 Benefit 1 3 5, a 1 mile fun run, a 5k event as well as the 5 Mile Ranger Run to benefit Peterson Outdoors Ministries.

1M FUNRUN
Kids of all sizes and ages can take part in a great run. Kids will receive a bib, shirt, finisher medal.

FIVEK
The third annual Rallye66 Benefit 5K will have a very similar route to 2016. This is a beautiful run through many of Carthage's most beautiful streets as well as a trip around the historic Carthage Square. This course is not overly hilly or flat but offers a great mix of mild ups and downs.

The RANGER RUN:
The 5 Mile Ranger Run course tracks closely to the 5K with a few more twists and turns and a few out and backs. Like the 5K, the 5M Ranger Run will have a great mix of mild ups and downs and the same great historic views. So what’s the difference? Well, that would be all the “ups” before the run. 2 minutes of pull-ups, 2 minutes of sit-ups & 2 minutes of push-ups. The race isn’t complicated just HARD!

Push-Ups—Sit-ups—5 Mile Run—Pull-ups

Individual Ranger Run Age Groups:
We have decided to use the age group breakdown for both men and women that the United States Army uses.  The breakdown is as follows for both men and women.  Under 16, this is our own age group since you must be 17 to enter the US Army.  The others are: 17-21, 22-26, 27-31, 32-36, 37-41, 42-46, 47-51, 52-56, 57-61 and 62+.

RANGER RUN Team Challenge:   We are looking for 4 person teams to accept the challenge of competing against one another for the ultimate prize: being declared victor of one of the four states hardest runs.  We invite all law enforcement agencies, churches, businesses, schools, gyms or groups of friends to compete.

Teams can be all men, all ladies or a hybrid.  All individual scores are averaged together and the team with the highest average score wins.  Men and women are scored along the military scale that curves the exercises according to age and gender.  There are no age or gender groups for the team challenge.

For a full description about the Ranger Run or the other races please visit our website at:  run.rallye66.com.

All distances receive finisher medals and T-shirts, yes kids too.

The 5K & 5M RangerRun will be mat timed event through the RunAround.

First Christian Church Carthage

Rallye66 Benefit 1 3 5 is an event benefitting Peterson Outdoors Ministries and is a ministry of First Christian Church in Carthage, MO. The folks at Peterson work with our nation's wounded veterans and their families and are equipped to enable even the severely disabled to go outdoors and hunt or fish, but more importantly they are intentionally investing into their lives not just for a week but for a lifetime. As a running event, First Christian Church strives to make the Rallye66 Benefit 1 3 5 one of the areas premier running events. In addition to our 5K, is the 1 mile fun run and the 5 mile Ranger Run. What is a Ranger Run? Great question... as the Army Ranger candidate enters Ranger school there is a minimum requirement of specific exercises he/she must meet. One is the 5 mile run, other exercises are sit-ups, push-ups, and pull-ups. We aren't certain which of these, and other exercises will be implemented yet, but this is our way to honor those men and women who have excelled in this extremely challenging program.
