Bringing Brain Injuries Into the Spotlight Through Awareness
The 3rd annual Rock the Walk fundraiser is our signature awareness event. This 3K fun Walk helps BrainSong, The Micah Jones Foundation provide support for women with brain injuries and raise awareness of this invisible injury. This event also celebrates the 3rd annual Brain Injury Awareness Day, July 9!
They say strength comes in numbers. Imagine what strength can be found in a team of family, friends and co-workers, united in the fight to help those with brain injuries. It will be an unforgettable experience, filled with courage, remembrance and inspiration as you walk and fundraise together!
Join hundreds of survivors and participants for a fun and friendly community oriented event at the beautiful Zanesville High School Stadium track. Take a leisurely two mile stroll, walk or run with family, friends or co-workers. The track is wheelchair and handicapped accessible so all participants of various abilities have the opportunity to participate.
Prizes will be awarded for the Largest Team, Most Spirited Team, Highest Individual Fundraiser and Top Fundraising Team. Enjoy a complimentary breakfast, our first kids fun run, kids bicycle helmet fitting (while supplies last) sponsored by the Pilot Club International and Genesis, Silent Auction, brain injury education and more, all while raising awareness for brain injuries. Walk through the amazing AmeriBrain, the inflatable brain! Join us at the Survivor Opening as we recognize survivors and hear from a concussion survivor and our featured speaker, Andrea Vellinga, the brain injury survivor from the 2011 Indiana State Fair concert stage collapse during the Sugarland concert. Form a team to raise funds or walk individually with others dedicated to this important mission. Registration will walk you through setting up your team. Once set up, other team members can register under your team.
Purchase an Honor Note for $10 in "Memory of" or in "Honor of" a loved one. Order during the registration process. Be sure to find your Honor Note on the track at the Walk!
What is the cost?
Brain Injury Survivors – Free Adults – $25 14 & under – $15 4 years to infants – Free (no t-shirt provided) Each walker will receive a Rock the Walk t-shirt to wear during the Walk if registered by June 16 to be assured of receiving your requested t-shirt size. After this date, limited sizes will be available. You can also register on site, but we can't guarantee shirt sizes.

9:00 am Registration Opens If you've not registered, you can still register on site. Pre-registered walkers can pick up their Walk shirt. If you’re on a team remember your team captain picks up the team shirts and will distribute to their team. Be sure to decide where to meet your team members.
