About This Activity
The 4th annual Race More for Macemore 5K Run/Walk is a chip timed race that takes place in downtown Yadkinville. This event honors Austin Macemore, who passed away at the age of 19 after a courageous race against cancer. On his inspirational legacy and passionate spirit to help others, Big A Ministries was founded. His ministry supports others battling serious health conditions, missions, the YMCA, athletics and scholarships for local college bound students.
[Austin's favorite verse]
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13)
Please make every effort to register early (by 12:00 noon on Monday 9/12)...this helps us guarantee that you get an awesome newly designed T-Shirt for your collection!!
Immediately following the race, stay and enjoy the 40th Annual Yadkin Valley Harvest Festival happening right next door. For one day of the year the downtown area of Yadkinville is transformed by fun festivities. Food and craft vendors, farm, garden and preservation tips from the NC Cooperative Extension Services, a live Heritage Craft demonstration area, live musical entertainment all day long on the outdoor stage on the Plaza of the Yadkin Cultural Arts Center, amusements for the kids and a BeerGarden and Yadtel Sports Lounge in the Front Yard Plaza!
