About This Activity

The first annual “Pedal for PAL” ride is a charity ride on the scenic West Orange Trail traveling Eastbound into Lake County and starting in historic downtown Winter Garden. There will be two mileage options; a 25 mile option for more experienced riders and a shorter 10 mile option which is family friendly. The 25 mile option has its turnaround on the shores of beautiful Lake Minneola while the 10 mile option has its turnaround at Killarney Station along the West Orange Trail. The ride is predominantly flat with some small hills approximately 2 miles past Killarney Station. In addition to the actual ride, a competition will be held for the most outlandishly decorated bike and rider who completes either distance with prizes awarded. There will be First Aid/Water Stations along the route and safety marshals riding the trail along designated sections. Riders will receive a specially made poker chip featuring the Winter Garden Police Athletic League logo as well as a “Pedal for PAL” water bottle. In addition to those items, riders will receive “goodie” bags containing items from various local businesses.

We highly encourage families to attend this event, while the ride is being conducted the Winter Garden Farmer’s Market will going on with a variety of local businesses represented and a DJ will be providing entertainment.
