About This Activity

Winona Area Mountain Bikers' winter bicycle race Feb. 8th, 2014. The Snow Bomb is a criterium style snow bike race in which all people are encouraged to participate! The race will consist of a 40-50 minute criterium style race around Lake Winona. The race will be approx. 8-10 minute laps.

This is held in conjunction with the Winona Winter Carnival. Immediately following the Snow Bomb, Winona Park & Rec's Goosebump Jump will kick-off at 12PM. Participants are encouraged to spectate, or of course, jump in to cool off after the race for charity! There will be music, festivities, food, and beverages available.

While the exact course has not been set yet, on-ice racing will be kept to a minimum.  It will be primarily on land.  Studded tires should not be necessary. Any type of bike is OK.   Fat bikes would be the ideal choice for the Snow Bomb, but any bike is acceptable.
There will be a men's and a women's category, with prizes going to the top 3.  If the fields are large, we'll pull an audible, and prizes will go to the Top 5 or 10.  Expect the winner's trophies to be "somethin' real nice Clark!"

Any type of bike is ok, obviously encouraging fat bikes and those being the emphasis of the event, but any type is also acceptable
