About This Activity

This fast and fun, timed and measured course winds through Wilton Center, up to the high school, and ends at Merwin Meadows.

 Check-in begins at 9am in the Wilton Center, with a 10AM start. The 5K ends at Merwin Meadows and the Scarecrow Scamper kids’ run starts there at 11AM.

Event details and schedule

The Race: 
The 13th Annual Halloween Hustle 5K will take place Sunday, November 1st at 10 a.m., followed by the Scarecrow Scamper Kids’ Run at 11 a.m. This 5K run is held on a fast and fun course that winds through downtown Wilton, Merwin Meadows Park and the Wilton High School Complex.

The Course: 

The Hustle follows a hauntingly beautiful 3.1 mile, mostly flat, course (with one water station) through Wilton Center, Merwin Meadows Park and the Wilton High School Complex, looping back to the park. The route is a USATF-certified course and will be timed. The Scamper loops around the Merwin Meadow soccer field and returns back to the pavilion.

The Look: 
Participants are encouraged to don a spooky, madcap or “boo”-tiful Halloween costume! Awards for runners and prizes for the best individual and group costumes will be announced after the race.

The Goods: 
Pre-registered runners will receive a Halloween Hustle custom-designed t-shirt and goodie bag. All Scarecrow Scampers win pumpkin participation medals. Runner packets are available for pick-up on the morning of the race, beginning at 9 a.m.

The Win:
Immediately following the race, runners and spooky spectators alike are invited to partake in the award ceremonies. Awards will be given to the top overall male + female finishers, plus top male + female runners in each age group.
