The Salvation Army Race Series
About This Activity
Welcome to the first ever trail race on the pristine Williamsport Water Authority property located in Duboistown, PA! The 10K and 20K will be run mostly on beautiful double track trails.
The Water Authority is allowing us to modify the 20k course so runners will spend a lot more time on single and double track trails and a lot less time on a dirt road that was recently graveled. For those familiar with the property, all participants (20k and 10k) will now begin by running the Raccoon Trail, from the ‘bottoms' to the top. 10k participants will stay on Raccoon for nearly the entire race, but will now cut through the Bluebird trail near mile five to reach the finish line as opposed to taking the graveled road.
20k participants will begin on Raccoon and will now run/climb the Bower Field loop, a two mile lollipop loop off of Raccoon which provides a challenging climb and descent. Following the Bower Field loop, 20k participants will return to Raccoon and follow Raccoon to Remington Rd. Runners will then climb Remington Rd to the top of the mountain to complete a small, beautiful loop and return to the start/finish area via Remington and Bluebird.
10k participants can still expect about 500 ft of elevation and 20k should now expect approx. 1300-1400 ft of elevation gain. Updated maps with elevation will be sent to registered participants.
There will also now be one water station on the 10k (approx. mile 4.5) and two stations on the 20k (approx. mile 6.5 and 10.5).
Registration is limited so do not miss out on the opportunity to experience the first ever trail race at the Williamsport Water Authority property!
