About This Activity

Every year, you help young people in Wichita. You help end human trafficking in Wichita.

This is the 6th annual Race 4 Freedom 5K Run/Walk by ICT S.O.S. Each year, 100% of proceeds from the Race 4 Freedom goes to a partner agency in the Wichita area that helps at-risk and trafficked youth. This year, the Race supports the Wichita Area Sexual Assault Center (WASAC), whose mission is to work with individuals and communities through comprehensive services and education to create a culture of intolerance for sexual violence and an atmosphere of healing for those impacted by it.

This will be a flat, fast course through the Indian Hills area, including approximately 1/2 mile on the bike path by the river.

ICT S.O.S. is a Wichita-based organization that acts as a liaison between specific local professional organizations who work with trafficked youth and the Wichita volunteers who seek ways to get involved and to find solutions! By connecting local agencies with volunteers and resources, we help facilitate their missions.

Over the last five years, $112,800 combined for partner agencies including Carpenter Place (2012), Child Advocacy Center of Sedgwick County (2013), Youthville Secure Care (2014), Saint Francis Community Services (2015), and Via Christi Healthcare Haven (2016). The Race 4 Freedom has grown from 911 participants in 2012 to almost 5,000 total in the first five years! This is a chip-timed event, by RCCA certified Trevor Darmstetter and GO RACE timing and is a fun, well-operated race.

Join us as we RUN to make a difference in the Wichita community!
