Every year, you help young people in Wichita. You help end human trafficking in Wichita.
This is the 7th annual Race 4 Freedom 5K Run/Walk by ICT S.O.S. Each year, 100% of proceeds from the Race 4 Freedom go to a partner agency in the Wichita area that helps at-risk and trafficked youth. This year, the Race supports the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. This is a collaborative team of investigators from the Wichita Police Department, Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office, and Homeland Security. The Task Force helps catch and gather evidence against offenders who use the internet, online communication systems, or computer technology to sexually exploit children. The ICAC program is part of a national network of 61 coordinated task forces representing over 3,000 Federal, State and local law enforcement and prosecutorial agencies that are engaged in proactive investigations, forensic investigations, and criminal prosecutions. Funds raised by the race will help provide additional training, equipment, and important software updates for the Task Force.
This will be a flat, fast course through the Indian Hills area, including approximately 1/2 mile on the bike path by the river.

ICT S.O.S. is a Wichita-based organization that acts as a liaison between specific local professional organizations who work with trafficked youth and the Wichita volunteers who seek ways to get involved and to find solutions! By connecting local agencies with volunteers and resources, we help facilitate their missions.
Over the last 6 years, the race has raised and donated $138,000 combined for partner agencies including Carpenter Place (2012), the Child Advocacy Center of Sedgwick County (2013), Youthville Secure Care (2014), Saint Francis Community Services (2015), Via Christi Healthcare Haven (2016), and the Wichita Area Sexual Assault Center (2017). This is a chip-timed event, by RCCA certified Trevor Darmstetter and GO RACE timing and is a fun, well-operated race.
Join us as we RUN to make a difference in the Wichita community!
