More than 35 million people have died from the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and the subsequent condition of AIDS; a pandemic that continues to threaten the lives of millions more. Those who have suffered from the illness associated with HIV and AIDS have sought spiritual support from churches, synagogues and other houses of worship. Many have been rejected, but Metropolitan Community Churches (MCC) has always been at the help of compassion, hope, and acceptance.
December 1st is World AIDS Day, and so the following weekend, we honor those who have lost their lives, who have fought the disease and survive, and those who may yet contract the virus by our time and our building of awareness. Join us for this inaugural annual event to remember, to commit to keeping the promise of eradicating HIV, and to celebrate the healing presence of Spirit amidst suffering.
Registration fee is $20.00. Check-In will begin at 7:30am.
Registration fee includes finisher medal. T-shirts are available for an additional $5.00; distributed at the event if registered by November 25, and mailed to participants if registered after the event.
