About This Activity

Wizards and Muggles are invited out for a 5K Fun Run to remember. The Third Annual Potter Run! Proceeds will benefit HopeKids Utah. (https://www.hopekids.org/)

Geek'd Out Events & The Rocky Mountain Muggles are presenting this magical event and invite you to come in or out of costume, but please be respectful of others when bringing props or costume-wear. Each Pre-Registered participant will recieve a t-shirt and a commemorative medal. Enjoy a chance to take pictures with their favorite Characters, stick around for Quidditch and the Costume Contest, enjoy the Day of Hope Car Show after the race (http://dayofhopecarshow.com/), grab some food from the variety of food trucks, and much more Potterific Festivities!

July 4, Last Day to Register and be able to Recieve your Medal and T-Shirt at the Race. 

July 31, 2014 - 5:00-8:00pm - Early Check In/Packet Pick-Up and Harry's B-Day Party! You may pick up your t-shirt and race bibs and Pick Up your Race Packet begining at 5:00 pm at the southeast parking area of West Jordan Veterans Memorial Park by the big playground.  This will also be the location of Day-Of Check-In. If you have not already signed your wavier form, you will be asked to do so then.  Please bring a form of ID.

Harry's B-Day Party: After you pick up your race packet then celebrate Harry's Birthday with us with some cake and bithday festivities . The whole family is invited. Registration for the race and your t-shirt you pick up will get you into the party free. Others attendees over age 8 will need to pay the $5 entry fee (all benefits HopeKids). There will be music, Harry Potter themes and characters, a costume contest, and a silent raffle - in which each raffle ticket costs a $1 donation that you can place with whichever raffle prize you'd like to win. Buy more for higher chances to win and of course benefit HopeKids!

Aug. 1, 2014- 9:00 am  -  Brooms Up! The Race Begins!

The Course follows the sidewalk around West Jordan Memorial Park 4 times/4 laps so is not quite a true 5K, but don't worry, Harry won't judge. After you finish the Race don't forget to stick around for the medal ceremony, costume contest, grab your medal, get a Picture with the Hogwarts crew, play Quidditch, and enjoy the Day of Hope Car Show events at the park the same day!
