About This Activity

The first ever Franklin County Animal Shelter 'Strut for Strays!' Doggie 5k will start and end at beautiful Titcomb Mountain in West Farmington. The route will mostly take place on trails, but will include a short section on the road. Of course dogs are more than welcome, but participants are not required to have a dog to take part in the race. It will be a fun time for dogs and their people!

Event details and schedule

Race start time: 9:30 AM

Recommended arrival time: 8:30 AM - 9:15 AM

Parking information: There will be plenty of parking space at Titcomb Mountain, around the lodge.

Course information: The majority of the race will be off-road on flat trails. There will be a few gentle slopes, but nothing challenging.

Dog information: All dogs must be on a leash for the duration of the event. Owners are expected to clean up after their dog, poop bags will be provided at the beginning of the race.

What to wear: We're not sure what the weather will be like yet, but a warm outer layer is recommended.

Other information: Runners and walkers are welcome, the course will be open long enough to allow plenty of time for all finishers!
