Registration will open on January 8, 2018 and close on June 6, 2018. There will be NO race day registration. This event will be capped at 500 participants. All participants must be a USAT member or purchase a one day USAT membership. USAT memberships will be available for purchase during registration.
The Mojo Triathlon will feature a Sprint, Olympic, 3-person Sprint Relay and 3-person Olympic Relay. The triathlon will start and end within the Voice of America MetroPark located at 7850 VOA Park Dr, West Chester, OH 45069. The swim will take place in the calm waters of the VOA lake. The bike course features some rolling hills with car traffic kept at a minimum. The Sprint athletes will complete one loop of the course and the Olympic athletes will do two loops. The one or two loop run will be contained all within the VOA Park. Parking will be available onsite, free for participants.
We are excited to offer a training program for up to 20 people for the triathlon. The training program will be 9 weeks long and will primarily meet at Mojo Running and BikeFix. The training program is ideal for the beginner triathlete hoping to learn the ins & outs of a triathlon, as well as the experienced racer looking for additional tips to improve their time. The program begins with a kick-off meeting onApril 5th at 6:30pm at BikeFix and includes group runs, group bikes, 3 swim clinics at the beginning of the program and 5 open water swims at Voice of America Park, the location of the triathlon. Participants in the training program will also receive a week-by-week training plan.
Packet pick up will be available Saturday, June 9th from 10.30am – 4:30pm @ Queen City Running and on Sunday, June 10th from 5:00am–6:30am @ VOA Park
All participants will receive a complimentary beach towel, swim cap and goodie bag.
Transition will open at 5:00am on race day and close at 6:40am. The first wave of swimmers will enter the water at 7:00am.
Divisions All age group athletes must participate and compete in the age group division corresponding to the athlete's age on December 31st of the year of the event.
Age Group: 15-19 (high school division), 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
Relays Relay teams consist of 3 members (1 swimmer, 1 biker, 1 runner). Each member will complete one segment of the race. The team members will exchange their timing chip at their assigned bike rack within the transition area. There is no age group for relays.
Awards: Prizes awarded to the 1st Place Men and Women overall winners in the Sprint and Olympic and the 1st place team in the Sprint Relay and Olympic Relay.
Prizes awarded to both the Men and Women age group winners.
