About This Activity

Townspeople! Please settle down. I know that the weather is unseasonably beautiful, but this afternoon’s gathering is on a tight schedule. Lorelai! I have told you over and over again that there is no food allowed in Miss Patty’s! Put those Pop-Tarts away.

I’d like to thank you all for joining us to help welcome Stars Hollow’s very own, Hep Alien, back from their triumphant US tour. After that disastrous party at the home of Kyle Gibson’s family no one would have ever guessed that they would make such a splash on the world wide music scene. Welcome home Lane, Zack, Brian and Gill.

The entire town has come together to celebrate Hep Alien’s return to their roots! Our very own Stars Hollow Running Club has put together a road race to commemorate The Eternal Damnation Tour and Miss Patty has gathered her advanced ballerinas to accompany Hep Alien as they perform at the finish line.

As we go forward please remember that you are more than welcome (and encouraged) to break this distance into manageable chunks so that you can run/walk it as it best suits your fitness level and goals.

Registration for this event will be $27 ($32 for international participants).

With your registration you will receive a race packet which includes a custom designed 3.5” medal with stunning translucent details and a custom sublimated ribbon, a race bib professionally printed on Tyvek material and a tiny token or two from some of Stars Hollow’s favorite sons and daughters. There is also be the option (outside of registration) to purchase one of three different limited edition T-shirts.

As has become custom, we have turned to one of our beloved townspeople to help Stars Hollow Running Club choose the charity that will benefit from the proceeds of their race. Miss Patty will be the patron “saint” of The Eternal Damnation Tour 10K and has also been tasked with coordinating our first quarter community outreach initiative.

While our event focuses on music, our charity partner, Rejoice School of Ballet, focuses on bringing ballet to under-resourced students in the Nashville area. “Empowering youth to realize their potential by training, nurturing and celebrating dancers from diverse racial, socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.”

In 1998 Patricia Cross had the opportunity to offer a free dance summer program for 10 children at Exum Chapel in East Nashville.
“As the boys and girls stepped up to the ballet barre in their newly purchased uniforms, they grew taller in their bodies and spirits,” she remembers. “They clearly wanted to learn how to dance and after that summer I knew I had to provide this opportunity for more children.”
In 1999, Rejoice School of Ballet was born as a non-profit organization. In the fall of 2000, 14 students walked in the door and a ballet school that offers excellent training to every student, no matter their ability to pay, began.
During the past 15 years more than 1,000 students from diverse backgrounds have received excellent dance education from a professional faculty in an environment focused on diversity.
“A dance education teaches students much more than how to become good dancers,” Cross says. “Through dance children learn discipline, teamwork, goal setting, a healthy work ethic, the benefits of exercise and good nutrition and that they can excel at whatever they set their mind to.”
All dancers at Rejoice pay on an income-based sliding scale. Around 80 percent of our students pay $17 a month for classes, dance-wear and costumes.

Stars Hollow Running Club has created this limited edition lapel pin to help raise the funds that Rejoice needs in order to purchase a much needed flooring for their studio from the Nashville Ballet. This very special “Sugarplums” hard enamel cassette pin will only be offered through The Eternal Damnation Tour event and 100% of the sales of the pin will go directly to Rejoice along with proceeds from race registration. It is our goal to be able to completely fund the floor that Rejoice is in desperate need of with this event and the Sugarplums community outreach initiative.

We have also created a limited edition Miss Patty’s Sugarplums t-shirt to help you commemorate your support of this amazing charity.

Get more detailed information about Miss Patty’s Sugarplums and our first quarter community outreach program here.

The suggested run date for The Eternal Damnation Tour 10K is March 21st (the first day of Spring). We love seeing pictures of your run, so please post them!

Race registration will run between February 24th and March 27th. Once registration closes race packets will be prepared and sent to you in the first week of April.

*Within the registration process you will be offered the option to buy one (or more) of the Sugarplums lapel pins as well as the option to make an additional donation to Rejoice School of Ballet. 100% of the sales of the pins and the amount of additional donations will go directly to Rejoice along with proceeds from the actual race registration fees.

**There have been some enhancements to the registration process: Our members have done such an amazing job of spreading the word that we have put a referral program into place. When you register for The Eternal Damnation Tour 10K you will be given a unique referral code/link which you can use on your website or social media format of your choosing. Referrals from your unique code will be tracked and every member who refers 5 or more people (who register for this event) will receive a coupon for 15% off of the registration fee for our next event.
