BUCKS COUNTY TEN MILER: A NEW HOPE
Celebrating the 40th anniversary of a NEW HOPE
This year’s Bucks County Ten Miler will begin and end in New Hope, Pennsylvania
STARTING: New Hope-Solebury High School
FINISHING: Lock Masters House, Friends of the Delaware Canal 145 S Main Street, New Hope, PA 18938
TIMING: ChronoTrack B-Tags
ADVANCED PACKET PICK-UP: TBD
DAY OF RACE PICK-UP: Near the starting line. We expect this race to sell out. Do not wait to register.
FIRST STARTING WAVE: 8:30AM LAST STARTING WAVE: 9:04:30 waves are :30 seconds apart
TIME LIMIT: THE COURSE WILL CLOSE AT 11:03AM (14:52 per mile pace)
Moisture Farms will close at that pace.
CANTINA: Moisture farms will be located at 2,4.1, 5.4, 6.6 and 8.74 mile marks
COURSE: The race will start on the driveway at new Hope Solebury High Schol and run almost a mile on paved roads (with speedbumps) and then enter the Delaware Canal State park towpath heading north. Shortly after entering on to the towpath you will encounter trail space as tight as the Trash Smasher on the Detention Level (which on the way back will resemble the tightness of the Meridian Trench).
The turnaround is south of the Virginia Forrest recreation area bridge.
The finish line is 37’ north of the Lock Masters House at the south end of New Hope. (Near “Boomer” and the infamous steps of the Bucks County Marathon)
Delaware Canal State Park is open to the public. We do not have exclusive use of the towpath.
PARKING: very limited free parking at New Hope-Solebury High School. Paid parking at Union Square and American Legion Post and along Main Street New Hope.
FIELD LIMIT: The runner field will be limited to 500 participants
SWAG: A commemorative race t-shirt will be given to all pre-registrants and to late registrants while supplies last. Finisher’s Medals will be given to those who earn them.
AWARDS: Plaques to the top three men and women overall, and in these age groups:

AND TO THE THREE BEST COSTUMES BY CROWD APPROVAL
WEATHER: This is a rain or shine event. In the event of rain the towpath may be muddy in places.
FOOD: Provided by Gabriel II’s Pizzeria. Ask anyone who has been to this race, we probably have the best post-race food of any area race. Please be advised tht food is for runners onl and we may not be able to accommodate specific dietary needs.
