The 12th Annual Passion for Life event is a 5K Run/Walk and 5 Mile run event benefiting research at U of M C.S. Mott Children's Hospitals and our Inspirational Family of the year. Each year the Passion for Life Organization chooses an Inspirational Family and raises research funds for diagnosis of that particular family.
Our twelfth Inspirational Family is the Miller family. Nathan Miller is a nine year old boy in 4th grade living in Canton, MI. Nathan was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) when he was in kindergarten. DMD, is a progressive, muscle-wasting disease commonly found in boys, and there is currently no cure.
