About This Activity

Since Cultivate began two years ago, our purpose as a church has been to grow communities of deep roots bearing rich fruit. Through the 410 Bridge, an organization helping to create sustainable communities in Kenya and Haiti, Cultivate has partnered with a community in central Haiti by the name of Chadirac. Our goal is to come alongside the people of Chadirac, assisting with developing basic educational, economic and healthcare initiatives, as they build a self-sustaining community.  Our partnership is both practical and relational shown in our annual financial commitment and our commitment to two service trips per year.

The Cultivate Chadirac 5K will help raise funds for necessary projects for the Chadirac community as well as help pay for our teams to go to Haiti for the service trips. These trips help build relationships and give support to the Chadirac people on their journey out of poverty and in becoming a sustainable community. Last year Cultivate’s financial gifts helped with the installation of a clean water filtration system that has eradicated water-born illnesses for the last eight months. The next goal for the community is education and this year our support and service trip will be participating in building a 9-classroom school house to educate over 270 children.
