The Visalia Rescue Mission is a local non-profit organization. We serve the community by providing a homeless shelter for men, women and children. We are currently serving approximately 300 meals each day, 365 days a year; over 183,000 meals in 2014!

Additionally, we operate an 8-month Life Change Academy program that includes a mentoring program, life-skills training and job internship programs, and recovery programs. We rely heavily on volunteers from our community to support our work within a hurting sector of our society. We are funded entirely by donations from local churches, businesses and individuals.

The Visalia Rescue Mission owns and operates Rescued Treasures Thrift Store on Mooney Blvd. and Simply Chic Boutique on Main Street, in Visalia, CA. All proceeds from these stores directly benefit the Mission. The VRM also has a 4-plex transitional housing unit, homeless storage program, and Oval Park revamp in conjunction with the City of Visalia. Our Community Center benefits the local community by providing case management and counseling services to those in need.
