Have you ever wanted to try surfing?  Here’s your chance!  Surf for the Cure is offering 1-hour lessons for $20, normally a $40 value.  Lessons are being offered by some of the best, certified and experienced, local surf schools in Va Beach, VB Surf Sessions and The Seth Broudy School of Surf.  Participants must know how to swim, be between the ages of 7 – 120 years old, bring a towel and a positive attitude.  Each participant will also receive a goody bag.

National Breast Cancer Awareness is in the month of October.  Join us on Oct 11 Surf for The Cure. This is an inaugural event to help raise donations and awareness of breast cancer, to support the local chapter of Susan G. Komen Tidewater, and to provide a supportive environment for survivors.

The Wahine Surf Club is an avid promoter of healthy, active lifestyles and understands the healing effects of water activities.  Because we actively support and participate in other charities, we see firsthand the participants’ emotions as they surf that wave....it's priceless. Surfing is therapeutic in that it is health restorative and rehabilitative. It empowers individuals physically and mentally, giving the person a sense of freedom and independence as well as increasing their self-esteem and self-confidence.

REGISTRATION CLOSES 5PM, 10 OCTOBER 2014.  WALK-ONS AT THE EVENT WILL BE TAKEN PENDING AVAILABLE SLOTS - BRING $20 DONATION, TOWEL, AND WATER.
