About This Activity

2nd Annual Mare Island Memorial Day Bridge to Bridge Triathlon.

We have listened to your comments from last year and have an improved course and expanded race options.

The swim will take place in the Mare Island Straight where the Napa River meets the Bay. The bikers will then cross the Carquinez Straight on the Zampa Bridge into Crockett, and the run course will take the participants across the Mare Island Causeway through the Mare Island Naval Shipyard.

Event details and schedule

Sprint Distance Events: 7:30am

Course Info:

Updated course is being reviewed with CalTrans to allow the shut down of a lane on Sonoma Blvd to allow for a safe racing lane for the bike ride. The run will still continue over to the historic Mare Island Naval Shipyard.

Arrival Info:

Please arrive with plenty of time before your event start time. As much as we want to beable to predict everything that will happen, all we know is that we are going to hold our race.

Parking Info:

Parking is available at the Start/Finish line. Parking is limited so please carpool if possible.

What to bring:

Vallejo being on the waterfront is subject to morning fog. With temperatures possibly going from the mid 50s to 80s possible by noon please plan accordingly. We will also have food available at the finish line for participants so bring a blanket and plan to hang out for a little while as we do awards and congratulate the other finishers.
