About This Activity
Make your Monday count by coming out for Vail's 3rd annual spring road race in the mountains. The 2015 Vail Valor Races offer several distances: marathon, half-marathon, 5-mile run/walk, and 1-mile family run. The Vail Valor Races is an affordable and fun way to get everyone together to celebrate fitness and pay tribute to our nation's heroes. There's even a dog race on Sunday! Don't miss this 2015 Memorial Day celebration in Vail, CO. Spring temps & stunning Gore Range views. Post-race brunch, technical t-shirt, and made in the USA Valor finisher medal to all runners. Course Description: Monday's races are alll on paved surfaces. Moderate terrain through residential neighborhoods and along Vail Bike Path. Rolling hills and scenic panorama highlight the 5-mile and half marathon course--marathoners enjoy the spectacular mountain views twice by repeating the half marathon course. The snow-capped Gore Range is inspiring! There will be a transition/drop bag area at the finish line of the half marathon for marathon runners to access personal items before heading out on stage two (repeat of the half marathon route). The course will be well-marked with plentiful aid stations along the way (6 in the half marathon and 13 in the full). While the previous two years were warm & sunny, springtime in the mountains can be unpredictable so plan accordingly and bring back-up clothing. We'll have a "shed table" at the finish for you to pick up any garments dropped off at initial aid stations. Registration Price Increases: There are four scheduled rate increases so sign up early. 12/20/14 to 01/15/15 Early Bird 01/16/15 to 03/15/15 Regular 03/16/15 to 05/15/15 Mid-Term 05/16/15 to 05/23/15 Late 05/24/15 to 05/25/15 On Site Only Marathon: $65 / $75 / $85 / $95 Marathon Relay: $100 / $120 / $140 / $160 Half Marathon: $50 / $60 / $70 / $80 5-Mile Run/Walk: $30 / $35 / $40 / $45 1M Family Run: $15 / $20 / $20 / $25
