About This Activity

My name is Cory Smith, I am a US Army Veteran from Turlock California. I started the Red, White and Blue run on September 11, 2011 with just myself and a fellow Marine Veteran. I would like to keep this event going and grow awareness for post-service veterans needs nation-wide as well as to continue to support our local veterans.

Each year we see growth with this event and a change in our community. With your help, this year can be even more successful than the last, however I cannot do it without your support. I believe this is a virtuous cause as well as a day to page homage to those who have tragically lost their lives on September 11, 2001. Please join us in the annual 9/11 Red, White and Blue Run every year to support our veterans.

We would like to honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice by honoring them with a small decorated 8.5/11 poster with their information, picture or flag. If you or someone you know has lost someone that served our country please bring your poster so we can honor them. We will display them as the runners come up to the finish line. Runners are also encouraged to sport their most patriotic outfits of Red, White and Blue.

This year the proceeds will be given to Fisher House Foundation. To learn more about this great foundation please visit their website at

Fisher House Foundation is best known for a network of comfort homes where military and veterans’ families can stay at no cost while a loved one is receiving treatment.
