2nd Annual Angiosarcoma Awareness: Steps Toward A Cure

About This Activity
Dear Fellow Warrior,
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart and all hearts affected by this insidious disease, for the amazing and humbling outcome you showed to our cause last year. As a recap, in one short month it was your heart and determination that helped us raise $25,000, have 320 racers cross the finish line, obtain 20 sponsors and 70 volunteers, and help change the way rare cancers are recognized. Through you, you make this world an amazing place to live. You inspire us all to share our lives and fight with everything we have to give.
As was stated last year, Angiosarcoma Awareness, Inc. (ASA) is a nationally recognized non-profit and an organization built upon, and run by, patient-advocates. From the event director of this race (myself), to the founders, chief scientific officer, and president, we are all affected by angiosarcoma, and have made it our life long goal to eradicate this disease. Please visit www.cureasc.org to learn more about ASA.
In addition to the 10K, 5K, and Kids Superhero Dash, we are very proud to advocate for a family friendly event once again. We will have a bounce house, face painting, balloon making, and cotton candy machine, amongst other things.
As proof from last year, this is an event supported by all walks of life to show we will not let life define us, but we will strive to define life together. Although 100% of all funds go directly to labs funded by ASA, we have a tribute wall and honor all of those who have lost the battle, who are currently fighting, and who will unfortunately join the fight against ANY tragedy or ailment later in life. We make it known that nobody fights alone; not for a single second.
We encourage you to join us on May 3, 2014 at Troy Athens High School in Troy, Michigan, for an event that promises to inspire and change your life. Trust me, I’m living proof.
