The race series is proud to establish one of the most difficult and scenic road 13.1s in the Southeast! A course that is nestled in the foothills and based in TRAVELERS Rest, South Carolina. The Heart of the Foothills was originally home to several Indian tribes, including the Catawba, the Creek, and the Cherokee. Travelers Rest gained notoriety as a stopover for weary travelers and livestock drovers. Travelers Rest boasts a colorful history dating back to America's early years. You will have the opportunity to summit the top of Greenville County near PARIS MOUNTAIN to look over the entire Upstate!
The "Ultimate" Half Marathon
The race starts at Poinsett Park and quickly runs down to Altamont Road and ascends and descends this beautiful road before reaching the turnaround point and getting the lovely opportunity to run it again! NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART! This race will be scenic, fun, and rewarding to all finishers! Come and see if you can climb ALTAMONT!

1 Aid Station at the CVS Turn Around
This is a CUP-LESS event so you need to have your own water bottle/hydration pack
Aid Station will have Tailwind, Soda, Water, GU, Pretzels, Chips, Bacon, PB&J, etc.
Post Race Meal provided by our volunteers and runners of Pizza, Soup, Coffee, etc.
Parking will be available at Precision Valve (111 Krieger Dr, Travelers Rest, SC 29690). From there it is a half mile walk south on Krieger Drive to Poinsett Park.
The route that this years course makes is not for the faint of heart! This race will climb one of the tallest roads in the Upstate peaking close to 2,000 feet of elevation before ascending down the back half of Paris Mountain on Altamont Road. This course is all road and will have a police escort for the first 6.5 miles to the half way point/turn around. The course starts at Poinsett Park and travels south down Frontage Road before ascending (turning left) onto Altamont Road 6.55 miles to the CVS turnaround. Enter the CVS parking lot where you will see your 1st aid station and turnaround point. Please run on the Right side of the road at all times.
