WHAT IS GET IT GLOWING? Get it Glowing is a fun family friendly event 5K Run and Walk and 1 mile Kids Walk that benefits the American Cancer Society and Relay For Life of Greater Lucas County. GLOWING is different because the event takes place at night and participants light up the course with t-shirts, glow bands, and after the race, participants are treated to a post-race party with food, a DJ, and raffles and prizes. American Cancer Society staff and volunteers are excited to bring this unique and fun event to Greater Lucas County. Sign up today to join the fun! Come in your best GLOW garb!! Awards to the best dressed male and female adult (18 & up), teenager (13 - 17) and child (12 & under).
Race Day Registration begins at 6:30pm, Race begins at 8:00pm
Each registration for runners 21 and up will include one drink ticket good for one beer after the race. Redeem your ticket at the Granite City booth that will be set up on the patio of Fallen Timbers near the restaurant. Join us for a fun after party with refreshments!
EARLY packet pick up: Will be at the Perrysburg ACS office on Wednesday, October 11th 2017 from 4PM-7PM. If you cannot attend packet pick up, they will be available race day during registration.
Timing: There will be no official timing but race clocks will be posted so you will see your time
Awards: Awards will be given for the 'Most Outstanding GLOW' for both male & female adult (18 & up) and child (17 & under). They will also be given for "Best Costume" for both male and female adult (18 & Up) and (children 17 & under).
Registration Pre-registrations will be accepted until September 29th and all pre-registered participants will receive a glow in the dark t-shirt. All registrations received after 10/1/17 and event day registrations participants receive tee shirts as available.
Limited GLOW swag included in registration, but get creative and come GLOWING!
Light refreshments and water will be served after the event! But, head over to Granite City Brewery before and after - 20% proceeds will be donated to ACS that night.
