About This Activity
The Society of Women Engineers' 5K is a fundraising fun run that will be held at Hillsborough River State Park. This will be our third annual 5K and the first with a theme: Fall Festival. Join us on October 1st for an exciting race, plenty of fun festival games, a raffle, and an optional costume contest!
All proceeds will benefit the Student Section of the Society of Women Engineers at the University of South Florida. The funds raised will help the section continue their mission of promoting women in the engineering field through innovative workshops, national conferences, and superior networking, as well as community outreach that promotes STEM programs to students in middle and high school.
A portion of the funds will support our scholarship program, which helps encourage students to pursue STEM education. So lace up your sneakers to help the Society of Women Engineers! Remember to "Like" our Facebook page for updates and information about the race and Fall Festival theme activities!
