About This Activity

Did you know that the average distance that people in the third world walk for water every day is 3 miles?  Come run or walk 3.1 miles at Pepper Creek Trail so that they don't have to, providing the physical, economical and educational benefits that clean water can provide!

The 1st annual Thirsty People: Quench Their Thirst 5K Run/Walk takes place on the beautiful Pepper Creek Trail in Temple on September 13, 2014.

Feel good about supporting a great cause by participating in this race!  Thirsty People, a local non-profit organization, is committed to supplying potable, bucket filtration water filters ( to short term Christian mission teams travelling to third world countries where access to clean water is difficult or non-existent.  One filter can filter water from any source to 99.99% bacteria free purity, and can supply clean water for up to 50 people for 40+ years if cleaned regularly.  All proceeds from this race will go to Thirsty People and supply water filters this year to Haiti, Ecuador, and Cambodia!
