About This Activity
Leon County, in partnership with the United Way of the Big Bend, will host the Wide Open Rush on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the Leon County Apalachee Regional Park.
The Wide Open Rush combines the fundamentals of trail running with the thrill and challenge of an obstacle course. The three-mile course incorporates 10 obstacles that racers must maneuver by climbing, crawling, jumping, weaving or pushing their way through!
This fun-filled challenge is designed to provide an entertaining experience for participants at all levels of fitness. Volunteers will be stationed along the route to provide assistance to racers, as necessary.
Not quite ready to venture out on the race course?
Not to worry, there will be multiple spectator areas to watch the excitement unravel or you can volunteer to help out on the course. Find more information and updates on the event website; www.WideOpenRush.org .
Kids Race - For those adventurous souls who are ready to race, but haven't quite hit the age cut off for the main race (12+)...you are not being left behind. We will have kids races as well.
