About This Activity

The 3rd annual Darn Tough Ride takes place on a scenic loop course on Labor Day weekend. It starts in the picturesque village of Stowe, Vermont and depending on the ride your choose, challenges you to rolling hills and a chance to climb the famous Smugglers' Notch over Mt. Mansfield, Vermont's highest peak. The 100 mile ride is indeed DARN TOUGH with over 7,300 elevation and two timed-hill climbs.  There is a ride for everyone in the family, including a family ride arund Stowe and a day camp for the little ones who prefer to stay put while their parents ride. A pre-race pasta dinner follow early bib pick on Saturday, August 30th. The post-event BBQ, live music and access to the hotel's pond, pools and sunny decks will leave you wanting more! Stay tuned and find out who the King and Queen of the Mountain will be in 2014, we have plenty of prizes and raffles to make eveyrone happy! We keep the event small at 300 riders and expect to meet that number early, Register early, take advantage of a lower price and access to prime accommodations may you choose to stay in Stowe for an extra day or two.
