About This Activity

Come on out for a fun 5k race and help AWARE save wild animals at the same time!  The course will be a mix of paved and hard-packed trails, winding through beautiful Panola Mountain State Park, one of the jewels of the Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area. Participants will receive encouragement towards the finish line from AWARE's ambassador animals, including owls and hawks. Refreshments will be available before and after the race for your fueling and refueling needs.

AWARE is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donations and race proceeds will directly benefit AWARE's mission. AWARE is the only rehabilitation left in Georgia that treats all native wildlife species. Last year, AWARE treated over 1,800 wild animals and educated thousands of children and adults in the greater Atlanta community on ways to preserve, promote, and protect Georgia's wildlife and their natural habitats.  Thank you so much for your support!
