About This Activity

This event will raise funds to continue the Boscovet Project's goal of providing clean accessible water to small farm families in rural Kenya.  The time and labor required to acquire water - less than clean water - requires a large part of their time - time which could be better invested in education or farming or business.  The final goal is, through sustainable development, which allow these families to lift themselves out of the cycle of poverty.  So far, the Boscovet Project has dug 18 wells using local labor and are now putting in a pilot community water system.  Race Director, Daniel Haskins, DVM, leads a team to Kenya every January where the initiatives in water quality, animal health, early childhood education, bio-intensive agriculture, and microfinance are improved and expanded.  100% of proceeds from this event will go to the project's work. The Boscovet Project spends less than 1% on overhead expenses so your dollars get stretched.  Thank you for considering supporting this Project.
