About This Activity

Not All Wounds Bleed 5k Run/Walk and Youth 1-mile Event will take place at the LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve which is part of the Kane County Forest Preserve District. The race course is located in St. Charles, Illinois at just northwest of Randall Road and Dean Street. This location was selected not only for it beauty and its location in a western suburb of Chicago but for its tranquility, which has a calming, meditative and soothing affect on our participants while still providing a cross-country racing experience.

Event details and schedule

The schedule of events for June 27, 2015 is packet pick-up/registration from 7:30 am to 8:45 am. The 5k Run will begin promptly at 9 am, followed immediately by the 5k Walk. The Youth 1-Mile will begin at 10:15 am followed by the all event awards ceremony at 10:30 am. Enjoy the food court, information tables and Not All Wounds Bleed product tables pre and post race/awards.

The course is located at the beautiful LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve in St. Charles, Illinois and will consist of mixed use trails wandering through tress, prairie and along streams. A water stations will be located at the start and finish lines and the 1.5 mile mark.

Please plan on arriving early, parking is limited and the nature left at the forest preserve is open to the public on Saturday. Registration and Packet Pick-Up will be located behind the Barn to the east of the nature left. Parking is limited, please try to car pool! Additional parking locations are being determined and more information will be available soon. 

All participants and volunteers are required to sign a waiver. 

Bring clothes for layering, Chicago weather is unpredictable and this is an all outdoor event. 

There will be items for sale to support Not All Wounds Bleed and other designated PTSD charities, please bring a form of payment to be able to purchase these additional items.
