Event details and schedule

REGISTRATION CLOSED AT 9:06am MST on April 18th as we reached our maximum of 1000. Please visit for transfer information if you find a person that has registered but will not be racing. We will not be taking a waiting list.

Wave placements will be posted a few days beore the race. Placement in waves depends on racers historical times or estimated time.

Estimating Your Time: Typically you can add 30 minutes to the time of your road half marathon with no elevation gain (more if you are unaccustomed to an elevation of 8000 feet). Another way to estimate your time is to compare yourself to how racers finished in 2013. Out of 758 finishers in 2013, the following results were achieved:  1st place - 1hr 26min; 50th place - 1:56; 100th place - 2:05; 189th place (top 1/4) - 2:17; 379th place (middle of the pack) - 2:32; 568th Place (top 3/4) - 2:49. Please try to be realistic with your time as this will allow the waves to work properly and reduce congestion on the course.

Online registration opens at noon MST on April 17, 2014 and closes at 11pm Mountain Time on September 25 or when we reach our participant cap for the race. Race cap was reached one week after opening in 2013.

Race Start Time is 8:30am Saturday, September 27th. Timing Chips are Mandatory and are attached to your bib. Chip, bib and goody bag pick-up is scheduled at the Ute Mountaineer 9/24 & 9/25 9am-8pm and on 9/26 9am-9:30pm. Race day packet, bib, chip pick-up is 7-8am at the Westin Hotel in Snowmass Village.

A gear shuttle is available from race start to finish. Public transportation leaves Rubey Park (3 blocks from the finish line) in Aspen for Snowmass Village regularly - bus and race shuttle schedules have not been determined at the time of registration posting.

2014 Race Results will be available after the race at the finish line and at the Ute, as well as online at
