About This Activity

The FIRST half-marathon ALL TRAILS in Simi Valley's history produced by Randy and Sarita Shoemaker, known for putting on dang-amazing races since 2006 (The Bandit, White Bull Trail Series, Running For Books, Celtic Climb at Rocky Peak and The Love Run).

Race course is completely on trails!  It is out and back.

Most of the trail is exposed. We will have Aid at the turn around halfway point.

Tapo Canyon Trail is a fire road through trees near a dry (for now) creek bed to a grand vista of the mountains and valleys surrounding Simi Valley and Santa Clarita.  Runners will descend into Chivo Canyon to single track Hot Dog Hill and then return.  Stay tuned for a more detailed race course description.

There are only 100 spots for this race.

4:00am WAKE UP!!  Get rolling.  Shake out the sleepy.  Let's DO THIS!!

5:00am Race Day Registration Opens

5:00am Pre-Registered Bib Pick-Up Opens

6:00am Race Starts - GUN TIME!

Finisher Medals.

Top 3 Overall.  Top 3 Female.

Port-O-Let at start/finish line. Closest is at Starbucks on Tapo Canyon which opens at 5:30am on Sunday.

Parking:  STREET.  Be safe!  Large gravel and work trucks use this road (probably not on a Sunday - but we need to squeeze everyone into the event.)  Also parking in close neighborhood about half a mile from race start/finish line.  Shuttle from Simi Valley Public Library starts 5:00am - last pick up at 5:30am.  

Race Start/Finish Line is at Tapo Canyon Trail Head.  We will have water and various fuel solutions.  We encourage runners to carry their own water.  

Waiver MUST be signed before entering course.

What to bring: 

Plan on hanging out and enjoying the party at the end of the race?  Bring a lawn chair and pop-up if you wish.  We will have refreshments for the runners post race.

What to wear:

SUNSCREEN!  Prepare for heat and direct sun on at least half of the course.
