What is the Summer Grove Baptist Church 5K/10K Mission Run/Walk? This event now in its 6th year raises funds each year to send out church mission groups on 6 mission trips throughout the world each summer. All funds raised from this event will go towards supplies and expenses for these trips.
Both the 5K and 10K will start at 8:00 a.m. from the Bell Tower area.
The race starts at the Bell Tower, goes around the church, through Sheriff’s Safety Town, through an adjoining residential neighborhood and back to the starting point. Race certification will be conducted by Sportspectrum.
REGISTRATION FEE SCHEDULE:
Registration can be done at Summer Grove Baptist Church or at Sportspectrum. With your registration you will receive a race shirt, a chance to win door prizes and a race medal. But most of all you are helping to support God’s Mission Work.
January 1—February 28, 2018—$20.00
March 1 – March 20, 2018 - $25.00
March 21—to race day $30.00
Packet Pick up:Packet Pick up will be at Sportspectrum 6970 Fern Avenue on Thursday, April 19th from noon- 6:00 p.m.
Friday, April 20th from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
You may also pick up your packet on race day starting at 7:00 a.m. at the Bell Tower.
Shirts:You get you choice between a short sleeve cotton or short sleeve tech shirt. Shirts will not be guaranteed for any registrations after April 8th.
Bring your appetite! A jambalaya brunch will be served to all participants after the race.
Awards: Medals awarded for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Male/Female in each age category.
