About This Activity

The Scribner Community Improvement organization is excited to again hold the Zombie Run this year in conjunction with the Halloween Shenanigan's on Main Street Scribner.

Run from the Zombies at the Dodge County Fairgrounds.  It won't be easy as the racers will have to run through some obstacles to avoid the Zombies, who are always looking for fresh brains! There will be scary folks lurking throughout the race course.  Not recommended for kids under 5, but it will be at parents discretion.  Younger runners will be released on course first to allow for a more mild chase, the remaining runners will be released with not much more than a prayer.

This is not a timed race.  The racers goal is to run through the course without being turned into a Zombie.  IF the racer reaches the end of course still a human, they will receive award. Be prepared to get wet, muddy, and dirty! There will be water obstacles.  Runners will have the option to run around the obstacles and not get wet, but they will be faced with very hungry Zombies!

Race to begin and end at the Dodge County KidZone.  The entire race course is inside the Dodge Co Fairgrounds.  Racers will be released in interval groups. There will be a bonfire, hot chocolate and hayrack rides! T-shirts will be available for purchase.

Parking will be west of the swimming pool and at Mohr Auditorium.

Event details and schedule

Check in: 6 PM to 6:50 PM  with Race to begin at 7 PM.  This in NOT a timed race.  The runners' main objective is to complete the entire course without being "caught" by a Zombie, and therefore, transformed into a Zombie.

Be prepared to get wet, muddy and dirty.

Prizes will be awarded to those participants who complete the course without losing their "life".

Local organizations will be preparing the course and it will be a fun, cool & scary run through the fairgrounds.  This is a family event, so bring the kids.  Some costumes and decorations may be a bit too scary for the smaller tykes, so parents will need to be cautious about what areas they want their kids to see.

Added events include hayrack rides, hot chocolate & treats.  Registered runners will receive a special Zombie gift. T-shirts will be available for purchase on race day.
