About This Activity

Run Voyages Muir Beach Running and Yoga Retreat will include a group long run (6-10 miles) on gorgeous coastal trails, yoga tailored for runners, professional coaching, drills, as well as a tasty breakfast and lunch. The 2015 female Ultrarunner of the year Magda Boulet will coach and run with the group. Magda is also an Olympic marathoner and 2015 Western States 100 winner. Reba Gray will lead yoga sessions tailored for runners. Our base will be Muir Beach, surrounded by staggering views. The group size is limited. There will be multiple distances and pacing available for the group run.

Why running + yoga? We believe that a consistent practice of running and yoga can provide balanced and powerful physical and mental training for runners and yogis of all ages, sizes and experience levels. Yoga for runners is intended to provide you with yoga sessions that fit in pre or post-run, on the same day as a run, or on a running rest day. At our retreats, we combine quality group runs with expert coaching sessions, yoga designed for runners, healthy meals and group camaraderie in world-class locations. The group dynamic provides motivation and positive energy, making the workouts fun and fast. 

Event details and schedule

The Saturday retreat includes:

  • Trail run with Magda Boulet at Muir Beach and the Golden Gate National Recreation Area in the Marin Headlands
  • Yoga for runners session with Reba Gray
  • Group coaching session 
  • Breakfast and lunch

Our instructors are 2015 Ultrarunner of the Year Magda Boulet and yoga instructor Reba Gray.

10:00am-10:15am Stretching

10:15am-11:45am Long run on trails from Muir Beach

12:00pm-12:45pm Lunch, socializing and break at community left

1:00pm-2:00pm Yoga for runners

2:00pm-3:00pm Coaching and drills

3:00pm-3:45pm Short run/hike and closing session at Muir Beach Overlook

Logistics: Arrive at Muir Beach Community Center by 9:00am. Park on Seacape Drive. Course details will be posted on Bring sunscreen and be prepared for coastal weather.
