About This Activity
One Mile Loop
Swimmers set out from the beach adjacent to the URI dock, swim a half mile down river, turn at a buoy and return to the beach. Due to the increased registrations as well as safety concerns, the swimmers will be given one hour to complete the swim. The event is timed by the Fast Lane Timing Service. The Turnaround Swim is a benefit for the Narrow Preservation Association and supports NRPA's preservation programs and educational initiatives.
