About This Activity

According to the American Cancer Society, colon cancer is the third most common cancer in California among both men and women, and is the third most common cause of cancer-related death.
WE CAN CHANGE THIS!! Our goal is to help increase colon cancer screening rates in our community, thus decreasing rates of colon cancer. This race will be a fun, family-friendly way to talk about colon cancer prevention, an issue most people like to avoid.

We will have educational booths, music playing, great costumes and prizes, as well as a meaningful remembrance ceremony for those we have lost to colon cancer. We will also honor and celebrate colon cancer SURVIVORS at the race.
Scope for Hope will give our community the opportunity to come together to show support for making colon cancer screening a regular part of our health care routine, and to collectively honor those who have fought and are fighting this disease. Please join us!!
