About This Activity

Central Coast Cancer Challenge presented by Dignity Health/French Hospital Medical Center

Run/Walk to help a cancer patients and survivors. Run/Walk because you can!! Cancer is a long, hard journey and your efforts can make it just a little bit easier for someone struggling to be healthy. Cancer survivors receive a FREE registration by emailing ED@RaceSLO.com.

We're returning to the charming downtown San Luis Obispo location, in the heart of Mission Plaza for an incredible day. The 5K, No "Mo" Cancer 10K, the Monterey Mile and Children's "Rock Around the Block"Fun Run. Participants will walk/run past downtown San Luis Obispo icons like the historic Mission, Fremont Theater, down tree-lined Higuera Street, Bubble Gum Alley and other iconic small town, turn-of-the-century architecture.

Athletes looking for speed can enter the race’s “Monterey Mile.” It's a complete down hill course, from the Vet's Hall on Grand Ave., one turn onto Monterey Street and straight down to Mission Plaza. Records will be broken!!

It's a great day to celebrate life and help others: a portion of your registration fee will directly benefit the Hearst Cancer Resource Center at French Hospital and the Maureen "Mo" Clancy Memorial Girl's Track & Field Scholarship.

Late Registration: 6 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. for the 5K and 10K, 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. for the Children's Fun Run at Mission Plaza and 6 a.m. to 7 a.m.. at Vet's Hall on Grand Ave. for the Monterey Mile

Fastest Mile: 7:15 a.m.

10K: 8:00 a.m.

5K: 8:00 a.m.

Children's Fun Run: 9:30 a.m.

Age Group Awards: 10:00 a.m.

Cancer Survivor Hope Ceremony: 10:15 a.m.
