The event starts at 7:30 am. We close registration at 7:45am. Due to permit regulations and street closures, the course start line closes at 8:15 am. You will not be allowed to enter the course after this time. Please ensure enough time to register and get to the start line.
Where is the course start and finish line?
You can view the course info here: http://my.neighbor.org/document.doc?id=33. The start line is at 6th and Laurel. The race ends near the Pedestrian Plaza in front of the San Diego Museum of Art.
Where do I park?
All parking lots in Balboa Park will be open on the day of the event. Street parking is permitted as long as you adhere to all street signs. We recommend getting there early as parking is more difficult to find starting closer to race time.
What is the difference between Timed and Untimed Participants? Are there separate starts?
A Timed Participant wears a timing chip in their shoe or on their bib and by stepping on the timing mat at the start of the race, receives a time at the end of the race. An Untimed Participant does not receive a time for the event. Timed Participants will start ahead of Untimed Participants.

No, we do not accept transfers or give refunds.
Can I register on the day of the event?
Yes, you may register either Tuesday, November 24 from 2pm to 7pm or Wednesday November 25 from 10am to 5pm at Road Runner Sports in Kearny Mesa or on the day of the event starting at 6:00am. To avoid waiting in line, we encourage Online Pre-Registration. Payment on site is accepted by cash, check, and credit card. To expedite the process, exact change is preferred.
Do children need to be registered?
Yes, children 6 to 12 must be registered in the race to participate and receive an event t-shirt. Anyone 13 and up must be registered in the Adult Category. Children 5 and under are free on race day (no t-shirt or bib number/timing provided)
How can I pick up my race information ahead of time?
Tshirts and bibs can be picked up at Pre-Registration on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 from 2pm to 6pm in the Organ Pavilion.
What do I need to pick up my race registration information?
A photo ID is needed to pick up your race information packet as well as a waiver. Waivers will be available on site when picking up your packet and online here
Can I pick up bib number and T-shirt for another person?
Yes, but we require a signed waiver & a copy of id for each person registered in order to pick up packet materials.Waivers available here.
Can I bring my dog to the race?
Yes, dogs are welcome provided they are on a leash with maximum length of 6 feet. NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES. Owners are responsible for their pet’s actions and for picking up after them. No pets in the beer garden and at no time can any race personnel or volunteer be responsible for your pet. Please be courteous and move to the side of the course to tend to your pet.
Can we bring strollers to the race?
Strollers are permitted in the race, but we will ask that stroller participants start at the back of each respective start location for safety reasons. Please be courteous to other participants and move to the side of the course to tend to a child.
Are there medals given at the race?
Yes, there are medals given to the top three timed male and female finishers in the following categories (1-10, 11-14, 15 – 19, 20 – 29, 30 – 39 , 40– 49, 50– 59, 60– 69, 70– 79, 80 plus).
The top three timed male and female finishers are presented their medal on stage in the Awards ceremony. The other medals are available in the Solutions Tent at the Organ Pavilion after the race.
What if I have to leave before the Awards Ceremony/results are in?

Is there gear storage? What shouldn’t I bring to the event?
Gear storage is not provided at the event and items left unattended will be confiscated. It is recommended that you don’t bring any valuables to the event.
Can a family member join me as a spectator?
Family members are welcome in the park but they will not receive a t-shirt and are not allowed access to refreshments or the beer garden. Due to insurance regulations, ONLY registered participants with a bib number are allowed on the course route at any time. Exceptions are children under 6 and dogs.
If I lose something at the event, where do I go to inquire about it?
Lost and Found items will be announced by the announcer from the stage in the Organ Pavilion. Items will be available at Solutions/Registration tent.
