About This Activity

Tap-Tober 5K Beer Run & Walk - A charity fundraiser, UNIQUE & FUN, also serves as a "kick-start" to the San Antonio Beer Festival.  Founders Kevin & Melissa Johnson (also owners of Brewery Direct) created this event to benefit Project Angel Fares, a program that provides families with special needs an opportunity to visit SA and Morgan's Wonderland that would otherwise not see as possible.  Project Angel Fares pays for travel expenses.

The AMAZING part is that since 2014 Tap-Tober 5K Beer Run & Walk has raised over $29,000 to help provide "trips of a lifetime" to benefit the special needs community.

Tap-Tober 5K Beer Run & Walk partners with the best local craft breweries.  This timed race course starts and ends at Maverick Park, running across the Hays Bridge is where you will incur the first "swig station", an opportunity to sample a tasty beer.  There are a total of 6 "swig stations" along the route.  Not your style? At the finish line a cold one awaits you.  This event is festive with music, awards, snacks, race shirt & More.  Only the top 300 finishers receive a Commemorative Bottle Opener Medal.  Tap-Tober is NOT your norm, we encourage DRESS UP, JUST BECAUSE ITS MORE FUN!

 Must Be 21 & OVER
