5K Fun Run
About This Activity
Join St. Joseph's Episcopal Church in celebrating Epiphany and get your New Year's Resolutions for fit and healthy living off to a great start! We aim to please with a fun, family friendly race in historic Salado, Texas! In addition to supporting the missions of St. Joseph's, proceeds from this year's race will support the Salado Family Relief Fund (SFRF). SFRF provides emergency relief to local families. SFRF is a non-religious 501 C3 organization dedicated to helping Salado residents in need.
The officially timed and measured 5k will begin at St Joseph's on Main Street. Racers will have the entire delightful Salado Main Street all to themselves as they race. Once complete, there will be finisher's medlals, unique local artisan awards, raffle items, refreshments and hot drinks for all!
We are excited to announce that Gilbert Tuhabonye will be speaking at the pre-race dinner on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. Gilbert is pleased to be joining the local community to encourage the runners in advance of the first race of 2017. Pre-Race Pasta Dinner on January 6th is at the Parish Hall (881 N. Main St. Salado). You can pick up your racer packet there, and carb up, before the big race. You can RSVP to the dinner during registration. Thank you for participating, see you there!
