About This Activity
The SpokerRide is a charity event, all proceeds are donated to the Livestrong foundation (www.livestrong.org) and the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org). The ride starts and ends in Sackets Harbor, NY. The courses are generally flat, with some hills. There are two courses, a 30 mile (beginner/intermediate) course, and a 50 mile (advanced) course. A novice course is available for those riders that want to participate but not race. (race lengths are estimated—depending on road conditions on the day of the race)
All riders are eligible for the grand prize (drawing to be held at the award ceremony). There will also be awards for the intermediate and advanced courses for fastest in each age/sex category. Additionally there are numerous door prizes and giveaways during the awards ceremony.
Racers registered by 7/1/2014 will receive a free T-shirt. T-shirts are not included in late and race day registrations.
HELMETS are MANDATORY!
Aero Bars in pace lines are NOT ALLOWED while riding in pace lines in the SpokerRide.
NOTE: The registration area has changed this year from the visitors left to the public safety building at 411 W. Washington Street - near the battlefield entrance.
Event schedule and times
Online registration ends at 12 noon on Thursday 7/24/2014. Mail in registration ends on Friday 7/11/2014. Timing chips will be used for this ride. If you fail to return your chip at the end of the ride you will be charged $110.00. T-shirts will not be available to late & race day registrants.
Race day registration is availabe from 7:30am to 8:30am on the day of the ride.
Packet Pickup is on the day of the ride - at the Sackets Harbor Visitors Center starting at 7am on race day.
All rides/races start promptly at 9am near the registration tent. Lunch is after the ride. The awards ceremony will start at approximately 11:30am
