About This Activity

Please join us for the 3rd annual Run for Wild and Scenic which takes place on a 5 mile stretch of  East Rosebud Creek which has been named as an  eligible river to receive  Wild and Scenic Designation by our Federal Government under the 1968 Wild and Scenic rivers Act.

East Rosebud Creek drainage is surrounded by wilderness is about as close to paradise as it gets. US Forest Service found this area eligible for Protection under the Wild and Scenic River Act of 1968 for its outstanding Geologic, Recreational and Scenic values. This area has been threatened by small output hydro dam project several times in the past. We want to make sure this cannot happen again. We seek Wild and Scenic designation which is an act of congress. Our Montana legislators agree, on June 15, 2015 Senator Jon Tester and Senator Steve Daines introduceda bipartisan Bill, Senate bill S.1577 Wild and Scenic Protection for East Rosebud Creek and Congressman Ryan Zinke introduced H.R. 2787 Wild and Scenic East Rosebud on the same date.

We hope you will come to enjoy the beauty of East Rosebud Creek and  support our efforts for Wild and Scenic protection of the East Rosebud.

Our prize for all participants this year will be a light weight backpack with Friends of East Rosebud  on it. Many other prizes will be available also.

Thank you for participating and supporting Wild and Scenic East Rosebud.
