About This Activity

The Joseph Lopez-Pratti Memorial 5K was started to memorialize a local fallen hero, but has grown to an annual event that donates 100 percent of its profits to the DarkHorse Lodge, and Youth For Christ.

The Dark Horse Lodge will be a 5 guest cabin retreat left located in Paris, TN to all combat veterans to come for rest, fishing and restoration. The Dark Horse Lodge is a project started by the parents of LCpl Alec Catherwood, who also lost his life along side Joey in the Sangin Province of Afghanistan on October 14th, 2010.

Youth for Christ is an organization ran through Assembly of God, Joey attended this youth program throughout his young adult life.

Joseph Lopez-Pratti grew up in Rosamond, California and enlisted into the U.S. Marine Corps in 2009. On October 14th, 2010, Lance Corporal Lopez-Pratti was Killed in action while serving his tour of duty in the Sangin Province of Afghanistan.

This event is a family fun loving event that promotes health, wellness and most importantly rememberance.
